About the Author
Roel Prins obtained his PhD at the University of Amsterdam, then worked at the Shell laboratories in Amsterdam and Emeryville, USA (1967-1977), was professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands (1977-1987), with a sabbatical year (1986/87) in Berkeley, USA, in the group of Professor Gabor Somorjai, and was professor of Catalysis at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland (1987-2006).
