About the Author

Sheila R. Vitale is the Spiritual Leader, Founding Teacher and Pastor of Living Epistles Ministries (LEM). She is an illustrator of spiritual principles, researcher, translator, social commentator, lecturer, author and movie, TV and theater critic. Pastor Vitale was born into a Jewish family and began her spiritual journey as a young student in an Orthodox Hebrew school, where she was encouraged to attend Saturday-morning services. The Spirit of God touched her for the first time in one of those services, and a deep longing for God stirred within her. In 1988, the Lord Jesus Christ led her to found Living Epistles Ministries, where she began to teach a unique form of Spiritual Philosophy which she calls The Doctrine of Christ. Pastor Vitale has authored more than 50 books based upon the Old and New Testaments, as well as unique and esoteric translations of the Scripture. Her signature work is the three volumes of The Alternate Translation Bible: The Alternate Translation Of The Old Testament, The Alternate Translation of the New Testament and The Alternate Translation of the Book of Revelation. LEM offers a wide range of free educational materials at its Living Epistles Ministries website as well as free video lectures on the LEM YouTube channel. Pastor Vitale has dedicated her life to studying and teaching Old and New Testament spiritual principles,and continues to focus daily on studying, teaching and writing. In her spare time, Pastor Vitale enjoys watching movies, attending plays and partaking of cuisines from different cultures. She currently resides in Port Jefferson Station,NY.
