S - Plan is a psychological character study in 20th century terrorism. Set in the terror-soaked atmosphere of London in the early 1990's, Irish Republican terrorist, Carmel O'Doherty, recalls her past, the relationships she had and how the loss of the people she cared about makes her indifferent to the suffering she is inflicting on others. Carmel recalls her upbringing in the Border Region between Ireland and Northern Ireland. S- plan vividly paints a picture of the violent complexities surrounding The Troubles and the past history of the border region, as the issue of border security becomes prominent once again with political issues arising from Britain's exit from the EU or Brexit.
