About the Author
Stella Blackstone has written many best-selling books for Barefoot, including the popular Bear series and The Animal Boogie, winner of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal, 2001, (a U.S. award given to outstanding new products that enhance the lives of children). She lives in the Cotswolds with her three children. Clare Beaton is a highly sought-after creator of hand-crafted children's picture books. Her studio is a treasure trove of felt, sequins, buttons, antique fabrics and other materials she uses in her artwork.
