The tales, set in a Dungeons and Dragonsesque world of swords and sorcery, revolve around the legendary mercenary Hellbrandt Grimm. With his all-too-evocative name, requisite scar, as well as the physique and emotional range of Conan the Barbarian, the protagonist is as cardboard a character as they come. Each tale involves some kind of betrayal, plenty of carnage, and a contrived "twist" ending. The art, ranging from barely discernible to genuinely interesting, isn't enough to broaden the appeal; this one's for gamers only.
