George Cockerill (30) studied Drama and English at Manchester university and then worked for a number of years at The Stage Newspaper, establishing and editing their network of websites. George works in London in new media. He founded and co-wrote the local newspaper spoof website, The Peel Bell which ran from 1998 to 2001. As a writer and musician, George composes music for BBC Radio 4 and writes and performs for the live comedy circuit in London and the Edinburgh Festival (2003 and 2004). David Owen (31) is the founder of www.idea-a-day.com, the author of The Big Idea Book (Wiley 2003) and the co-creator of Flipside TV. He studied Drama at Manchester University, before working as a journalist, an editor (of the now defunct Ads International) and then music publishing executive, in which capacity he was responsible for bringing a young Justin Hawkins to London (he is also 'nominally' The Darkness's official biographer).
