David Nash is one of the United Kingdom’s most prolific sculptors, known for his work with wood, trees, and the natural environment. In a career spanning forty years, he has created more than two thousand sculptures out of wood, many of them monumental in scale. These sculptures are carved using a chainsaw or axe, or sometimes partially burned to produce a charred surface.
