Review

(The) Roman Mysteries series deserves its devoted following. The Colossus of Rhodes takes our quartet of multicultural detectives out of the city and across the sea towards Greece, into danger at the hands of a brutal slave-dealer. Though its dialogue lacks subtlety, it compensates with a lively, detailed knowledge of classical history The Times 11th June 'The action is set against a detailed background of Roman classical history. Although the settings and cultures of the times are accurately portrayed the wit and interaction between the diverse group of friends is something that a contemporary child can relate to... the author brings history and adventure alive in a realistic way in this enjoyable series.' -- Val Loh Historical Novels Review
