Synopsis
Oliver Bendix and JoLynn Weaver are committed environmentalists who journey into Nevada shortgrass land to investigate reports of the wanton destruction of wild mustangs. They find not only that the reports are true but soon they too, like the horses, are fleeing for their lives, hunted by desperate men who are determined that no one will live to bring them to justice.

A modern Western concerned with a current problem facing cattle ranchers in Nevada. The Beale brothers, fourth generation ranchers, face loss of their cattle and ranch because there's not enough grassland left. The public lands on which the cattle graze, regulated by the Bureau of Land Management, also provide grazing for the endangered wild mustangs. The Beales are engaged in the slaughter of the mustangs in order to save their cattle. Two lovers, dedicated to causes of endangered species, come to Nevada to get evidence of mustang slaughter and witness the Beales in action, and violence erupts.
