From School Library Journal:
PreS–Little Princess is expecting a sibling. She wants a sister, but the whole kingdom cautions her that the baby might be a boy–you don't get to choose. Page after page she outlines why a sister would be better–brothers are rough, stinky, and don't have the right toys. But as usual, she does not get what she wants, and yet she is satisfied with the result–a Little Prince. In this installment, Little Princess is not quite as bratty as in others, showing that she has matured a bit. Children familiar with the series will recognize the crown-and-white-dress-clad Princess, done in Ross's signature watercolor and line. Fans will not be disappointed with this offering, and it is a nice addition to new-sibling collections.–Angela J.
