Synopsis
A beautiful life-affirming picture book by award-winning team Jeanne Willis and Tony Ross
Mayfly might have only one day to live, but she enjoys every moment by observing all the wonderful life teeming around her and rejoicing in her own. From the Author
Jeanne Willis and Tony Ross are the author-illustrator team of numerous books, including Dr. Xargle's Book of Earthlets, Old Dog, Shhh!, Sloth's Shoes, Susan Laughs, and the Smarties Prize–winner Tadpole's Promise.
About the Author
JEANNE WILLIS is one of the most successful children's picture book authors. She also writes for television and video companies, and has two children. Amongst her many other prize-winning books, she has written Who's in the Loo? which was shortlisted for the Nottingham Children's Book Award, won the Red House Picture Book Award and was the overall winner at the Sheffield Children's Book Award.
TONY ROSS has illustrated over 800 books, which are published all over the world. Dr Xargle's Book of Earth Tiggers was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and Tadpole's Promise won the Silver medal in the Smarties Prize 2003. He was the British choice for the Andersen Medal 2004. The Nanny Goat's Kid was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010. A major animated series of Tony Ross's Little Princess is currently showing on Channel 5's Milkshake. He lives in Oxfordshire.
