Synopsis

This book explores the practical application of theory within nursing practice in various contexts and perspectives. It helps the student gain knowledge about how nurses think about nursing, and develop and use theories to meet individual patient needs. It is pragmatic, considering opportunities for students to apply theory to practice both in their own place of work and through the development of elective opportunities. It considers NMC guidance in relation to the application of nursing theory and practice in both student and qualified work, allowing students to look forward to their practical needs as they progress towards registration.
