Dave Sharp grew up with foster parents with no information about his actual parents. He lived his life happily as a bricklayer and grew up and honest man who loved soccer. About the Author

Ian McEwan is one of the world's best loved living writers, the critically acclaimed author of many books including The Cement Garden (1978), The Child in Time (1987), Enduring Love (1997), and, most recently, On Chesil Beach. His novel Atonement has recently been adapted as a major motion picture starring Keira Knightley and James MacAvoy. Dave Sharp is a bricklayer by trade and a life-long supporter of his beloved Reading FC. This is his first book.
