Synopsis

The Truth About Wolves and Dogs is a unique, myth-busting book that encourages the reader to challenge old traditions and misconceptions about their canine companion, and question the advice given by out of touch dog trainers. It explains that the dominance method of training was in use long before any wolf pack hierarchy studies were carried out, and will help owners throw out old ideas and begin working with their dogs in an atmosphere of trust, love and mutual respect.

About the Author

Toni Shelbourne is a successful Tellington TTouch Companion Animal Practitioner, and has worked professionally with dogs since 1989. In 2001 her work took her to the UK Wolf Conservation Trust, where she was introduced to a pack of socialized wolves. She went on to work with the pack for ten years as a Senior Wolf Handler and Education Officer. Through her time with these animals, Toni developed a unique insight into their behavior, leading to her questioning ingrained ideas about alpha theory.
