Margaret Conway was the Secretary of Meath Archaeological and History Society between 1937 and 1962. She was a well-known figure, who is remembered fondly among Meath natives. Few counties in Ireland could compete with County Meath in terms of historical wealth and diversity. About the Author

Margaret Conway was a respected local historian and a well-known public figure. She began her career as a teacher and soon moved into public life, becoming a member of the Gaelic League and a spokesperson for the Vocational Educational Committee. She is best known, however, for her sensitive and well-researched history articles in local media.
