Synopsis

Going to the doctor for the first time can bring lots of questions for a young child: Why are we going? Will it hurt? Do I need medicine? What will the doctor do? Doctor helps children explore these questions in a simple, reassuring way, making a visit to the doctor feel more familiar and less scary.

Part of the First Time series, this engaging children's book helps young readers understand and prepare for new experiences that may initially feel unfamiliar or worrying. With simple conversational text and lively illustrations, Doctor creates an ideal opportunity for parents, caregivers, and children to talk together about visiting the doctor and what they might expect.
