About the Author
Stella Blackstone has written many popular titles for Barefoot Books, including the Bear and Cleo series, An Island in the Sun (HB: 9781841481920; PB: 9781841481944), Secret Seahorse (PB: 9781841488769; BB: 9781905236145) and Who Are You, Baby Kangaroo? (BB: 9781905236183). Stella lives with her family in southwest England. Maria Carluccio has studied art all over the world, and has also taught drawing and illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Maria finds her inspiration in everything around her, from the knick-knacks she collects in flea markets to scraps of interesting paper she finds on the streets. She lives in New York with her young daughter. Maria also wrote and illustrated The Sounds Around Town (HB: 9781905236275).
