David Shreeve is the director of The Conservation Foundation, which he co-founded in 1982, and the environmental advisor to the Archbishops' Council of the Church of England.

Harfiyah Haleem is a trustee of the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES). She is also the editor of a collection of essays on Islam and the environment and co-editor of the Muslim Green Guide to Reducing Climate Change.

Born and educated in America, he is passionately concerned with issues of environmental justice and global morality.
Harfiyah Haleem: Harfiyah is a trustee of the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES). She is also the editor of a collection of essays on Islam and the Environment and co-editor of the Muslim Green Guide to Reducing Climate Change.
David Shreeve: David is the Director of The Conservation Foundation, which he co-founded in 1982, and the Environmental Advisor to the Archbishops' Council of the Church of England. He was awarded a Lambeth Degree in 2003 in recognition of his influence in aiding the Church's understanding of environmental issues.

Each chapter includes three separate discussions linking the green issue to tenets of faith and holy writings, from authors Levy, a rabbi; David Shreeve, the Anglican director of Britain’s Conservation Foundation; and Harfiyah Haleem, an editor of environmental essays and essay collections. After the faith groups’ theoretical concerns with each topic have been stated briefly, a list of exemplary responses already in effect—internationally but largely in Britain—is provided. Then comes a solid set of suggestions for the reader to consider undertaking, either alone or with his or her congregation. Studded with beautifully reproduced nature photos, this book is quick to read but has much for individuals and groups to digest and consider as options for bringing faith-based responses to environmental care. --Francisca Goldsmith
