One day, in meditation, I experienced a presence so vast and embracing that there was no longer any up or down, in or out, this or that. There was just One Mind, everywhere and always, taking different shapes, moment by moment.
About the Author:
God was everywhere, singing to me and through me. God’s deepest desire, I realized, is to play ... to explore everything that is possible ... and from this desire, the world is born. For only here, in form, can God experience the joys and heartbreak of being alive, of being you and being me. For God, who is so big, the greatest challenge is ... being little.
Then I heard a voice, wise but full of wonder: ‘Once a upon a time, I was'. Immediately I wondered if all the big spiritual ideas about our world could be expressed in a ‘little’ story.
Becoming Me is the result ... a story of creation as told by the Creator, the story of a God who loves to play. In writing it, I checked my thoughts with lots of different religions, but mostly I just listened for that big little voice in me, and followed, and discovered that the biggest ideas make the most sense when expressed simply, from the heart.
I hope that Becoming Me speaks to you, your child, and the child in you ... that it reminds you our world is a divine play, and the ultimate nature of life is love.
Martin Boroson studied Western philosophy at Yale and earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He then began personal exploration of Eastern philosophy and trained in transpersonal psychology with Dr. Stanislav Grof. In his lectures and seminars, he has taught many people practical, modern wisdom skills, and was funded by the Arts Council of Ireland to develop new forms of production and creative training for artists. He now brings these varied approaches together in his work as a group facilitator, organizational consultant, and speaker. He recently completed an animated version of Becoming Me. His new book is The One-Moment Master: Stillness for People on the Go.
