Synopsis
After a daring raid on a Roundhead arms cache Captain Stryker is hounded across Dartmoor by an elite cavalry unit hell-bent on personal revenge. Now quarry rather than hunter, Stryker must save his men from annihilation.
But Stryker is not the only Royalist at large on the moor --- although when he rescues the beautiful and mysterious Cecily Cade he cannot know she has a secret that may prove the key to Royalist victory. Or that it could prove his undoing.
As the Civil War takes its increasingly bitter toll, Stryker and his men must fight their way across bleak Dartmoor, through war-ravaged southern England and on to Stratton, where the bloody battle between Cornwall and Devon will decide the fate the south-west.

About the Author
Michael Arnold lives in Hampshire with his wife and young son. His childhood holidays were spent visiting castles and battlefields, but his fascination with the civil wars was piqued partly by the fact that his hometown and region of Hampshire are steeped in civil war history.
