"By turns absurd, sophisticated, bawdy, tender, precise and sprawling, The Pistol Tree Poems captures the intellectual intimacy and infectious spontaneity of poetic collaboration at its white-hot best. There's brilliance and ingenuity on display in every poem here-a searching co-intelligence shot through with moments of emotional intensity." (Nathan Thompson)

Peter Hughes lives on the Norfolk coast, with his wife Lynn, in a coastguard cottage which is creeping ever closer to the cliff edge. The views are increasingly breathtaking. He has two previous solo collections from Shearsman. Simon Marsh was born in 1960 and moved to Milan in 1984. In 2008, he left the city for the village of Valverde in the Oltrepo Pavese, and now lives in the nearby town of Varzi. In addition to poetry, he writes and performs music with a group based in Milan. He also performs occasional guitar pieces. His previous publications include Bar Magenta (with Peter Hughes), The Ice Glossaries, and The Vinyl Hat Years.
