Cearbhall A" Dalaigh from Kerry emigrated to America in 1970 and returned to Ireland in 1978. He invested in and worked in the tourism and fishing industries and sold those interests in 1990. He then worked with the EU-TACIS programme in the early 1990s. [The Technical Assistance to the Commonwealth of Independent States programme was originally set up to give aid to the newly-independent countries of the Soviet Empire.] From the mid-1990s to 2007 he was a subcontractor in the Irish construction industry. His interests lie in economics and Irish politics.
