About the Author

Nigel Morgan was, until his recent retirement, professor of medieval art history at the University of Oslo. He is author of the two-volume set Early Gothic Manuscripts1190–1285 and contributing author to monographs on the Lambeth, Gulbenkian, and Trinity Apocalypses.
