About the Author:
Jim Hewitson, freelance writer and frontiersman, was brought up among the sandstone canyons of Clydebank but has lived on Papa Westray, Orkney, with his family and assorted animals for the past seven years. A columnist for journals as diverse as The Washington Post, The Scottish Banner (New York) and The Herald, his last book, Tom Blake and Co, which examines the impact of the Scots in America, has proved popular on both sides of the Atlantic.
