Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. The book has cream boards with gilt lettering . There are a couple of shelf ware creases on the front and back corners and a minimal one on the bottom of the front board. I would still class as very good. The inside pages are in a very good condition, and I would class as fine, apart from they have slight page turns where the book has been pushed against something else, or another book (this does not affect the writing or illustrations on the pages). There are very vibrant pictorial illustrations and descriptions, with over 500 plants illustrated from Curtis's Botanical Magazine. Overall the book is in a very good condition. The text block is bright, white tight and square There is a small neat signature to the half title. This book brings together a superb collection of plants from all over the world in illustrations dating from the late eighteenth to the early twentieth century. These beautiful hand coloured plates executed by such talented botanical artists Sydenham Edwards, Walter Fitch and James Sowerby are taken from Curtis's Botanical Magazine which is now 'The Kew Magazine' This large book measures 356mm x 267mm and weighs in at 2.75 Kilos.
