Review
?Robert Gluck has found a new way of making fiction passionate. This novel is a strange, exhilarating love story rich with invention and observation? Edmund White ?In Jack the Modernist we find a testing and perfecting of language so skillful it appears to merge completely with the author?s intelligence and feelings. The result is a startingly complicit relationship between him and his readers, in which ideas are communicated sensually? Dennis Cooper
