About the Author

Ann Hutchinson Guest discovered dance notation early in her dance career at the Jooss-Leeder Dance School. A founder and for twenty years director of the New York Dance Notation Bureau, she has been at the forefront in the use and development of Labanotation, spearheading new ideas in teaching methods incorporating notation.

Joujke-Kolff received an MFA in Dance Notation and Technology from Ohio State University in 1997, where she studied Labanotation and reconstructed choreographic works. She works as multimedia programmer and designer of the development of dance related CD-ROMs and web sites. She teaches Labanotation, serves as assistant secretary of the International Council for Kinetography Laban and is a member of The Congress on research in Dance and the Society for Research in Dance.
