Review:
'This book does the job admirably. In short, all lawyers need to study this new Act. Rather than just buy the Act itself I commend this book. [It] is a sound practitioner's book. This book is a highly recommended addition to The Law Society's series of Legislation Guides.' Family Law Week, April 2005 'Not surprisingly, the statute is difficult to reach and largely unintelligible standing on its own. Therefore, a clear overview of the Act, followed by a clearly expounded commentary by an informed solicitor, with the full text in an appendix, is a distinctly useful, indeed valuable, handbook. It is a pleasure to read a text in intelligible English.' Justice of the Peace, June 2005 'The test of a practitioner book is whether or not the reader leaves the text with a clear understanding of the subject matter, ready to tackle real cases and embark on more detailed research and analysis, confident in the subject matter. The book passes that test, and any competent practitioner would benefit from a copy on their shelf.' New Law Journal, July 2005
