About the Authors

Smail Khennas is a Senior Energy Specialist with ITDG. He is the author of several books on rural energy in developing countries. He has been working for more than 25 years on energy in developing countries.

Simon Dunnett worked for many years as a researcher for ITDG. He is now an independent consultant in wind energy.

Hugh Piggott runs his own successful windpower business. He has organized several courses on wind energy particularly for the Centre for Alternative Technology. He advises small companies and organizations around the world on small-scale wind power systems.
