Synopsis

In A Journey through Advent we follow the journeys of some of the key characters in the Advent season. The book will help the reader walk alongside these characters and be encouraged and strengthened in the journey they personally are called to make. The study has been specifically designed to incorporate individual study with group work whilst remaining accessible for individual use. This is 'easy to use' material, and does not require a lot of preparation by a leader! There are three resources for each group questions based on each day's reading, which should stimulate discussion; a weekly devotional meditation, and a coffee and chat section pointing to a social or political issue highlighted by the material. The material, which covers the whole of the month of December, can be used for five sessions in an existing housegroup or a special Advent group. To get most out of the material each of the group should make a commitment to use the personal devotional material each day.
