Part of the Cover to Cover Bible Study series for personal and group use this is an interesting and thought-provoking seven-week study guide on 2 Corinthians. Paul is writing out of his pastoral heart to the flourishing church in Corinth. One of the major themes of this letter is reconciliation. False apostles had denigrated Paul's reputation and enticed the Corinthian believers to doubt his sincerity, his message and even his God-given apostleship but instead of reacting with anger at these personal attacks, Paul reveals his humility and largeness of heart as he sought to build bridges of reconciliation between himself and the church, expressing his love for them and his concern over their spiritual well-being and needing to restore their confidence in him as God's apostle. We face similar challenges today but with God's mighty help we too can demonstrate God's love and forgiveness to the watching, sceptical world as we work at being reconciled to one another.
