About the Author
Frances Thomas was born in Wales in 1943, and now divides her time between London and mid-Wales. She has written books for adults and children, including a biography of Christina Rossetti, published by Virago, 'Finding Minerva' which won the Tir na Nog prize, and 'Supposing', illustrated by Ross Collins, which won a Scottish Arts Council award.
Review
Thomas uses a fascinating range of lesser known poems to reveal both Rossetti's remarkable talent and her passionate frustrated nature. * COUNTRY LIVING * I choose Frances Thomas's convincing study as my book of the year because she has illuminated the character and life of the woman and brought me back to the joy of reading. * THE GOOD BOOK GUIDE * Frances Thomas is sensitive and sympathetic at all points, and has an approach entirely of her own. * INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY * Frances Thomas has written an exemplary biography of this exasperating woman. * SPECTATOR *
