About the Authors
Stephen Gerlis is District Judge at Barnet County Court as well as a Recorder in both Crown and County Courts. He is co-editor of The Busy Solicitor's Digest and co-author of The County Court Practice Handbook.
Richard Stevens is District Judge in Stoke on Trent, West Midlands. He is currently a full-time member of the Lord Chancellor's IT working party, the team responsible for the development and implementation of IT systems to support civil justice reform.
