Review

"This book is amazing. It provides an overview on multiple Long-Term conditions. Each section has an overview of the condition, demographic/risk factors, long term effects, Health promotion/management and self management (These categories differ on some conditions but are replaced with some more relevant categories. At the end of the categories the author has included references as well as useful websites/further reading. This book does well to provide a simplified version of the condition and the care surrounding the condition. It is an excellent starting block for students and a good reference for quick information for those qualified staff. Everything needed to provide holistic care surrounding Long-Term Conditions is included in this very informative book." - 5 star review by 'Super Nurse' on studentnurse.org.uk; "Clearly written and laid out, this title covers all of the topics we have on our course." - Teacher practitioner. "I have several books on long term conditions and this is possibly the best, I will definitely be recommending it to my students. The main reasons for my recommendations is the test is easy to read and concise. There is good use of statistics and relevant government policy. It is great to see you have included a chapter on mental illness. It feels like it is written by someone who has experience in this area of care, it is very relevant to nurses." - Jackie Cunningham, Lecturer, South Devon College.
