From Library Journal:
This is yet another well-organized and thoughtfully produced Reader's Digest book. The guide, written by an expert in video production, is is divided into four sections that provide step-by-step procedures for making your own videos. The book begins with a discussion of the basic functions of a video camcorder, the different types of machines and their proper use, shooting procedures, light levels, and sound quality. Prefilm checklists, scene sequences, action shots, and zoom lenses are then explained, along with post-film techniques such as sound and video editing. The next section shows the practical sequence of steps for a variety of projects, such as birthday parties, family vacations, weddings, wildlife scenes, sporting events, rock videos, and business promotion videos. A chapter on accessory equipment, a glossary of technical terms, and an index follow. Recommended for most public libraries.
