This revised edition of the ECERS-E transforms the research edition published in 2003 into an immensely practical handbook for providers of early education.
The ECERS-E, developed by Kathy Sylva, Iram Siraj-Blatchford, and Brenda Taggart, is an instrument to measure quality in literacy, numeracy, science, and diversity as observable in pre-school settings. The sub-scales are an internationally recognized measure of quality in early education and care.
This practical new edition has drawn on collaboration around the world. The authors have clarified and improved it, so transforming the instrument into a valuable manual for institutional self-assessment and for improving pedagogy and curriculum in pre-school settings so that young children’s learning and development can flourish.
