Synopsis
The new edition of Q&A Family Law contains fifty exam type questions and answers which incorporate the most recent decisions and statute law on a whole range of family law topics. Each chapter contains an overview or summary on the law concerning a particular topic,which is then explored through the use of problem and essay questions.
This new edition has been updated to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in family law in the UK. The status of the Family Law Act divorce proposals is critically examined, with an examination of the existing divorce law, and how it might change if the Family Law Act is fully implemented.
Important recent court decisions on family financial matters and under the Children Act 1989 are highlighted, as are the changes to the child support legislation. The Human Rights Act 1999 and its likely to impact on Family Law matters is a new addition to this volume.
