The authors have written a book that describes the important buildings and scenes of the Victorian era London, with the modern alterations, and changes, that in many cases obliterate the old scenes. There are illustrations throughout, by way of vintage photographs, and drawings. Clack and Hutchinson have arranged the book by the names of the victims of 'The Ripper'. So, it serves two purposes; a review of the murders, and a view of the famous East End of London, as it was in Victorian times, and as it is in the present.
