Understanding and Researching Scripts is intended to guide the reader through the fascinating process of researching, analyzing, and interpreting a play from the very first reading, through to performance. Aimed at practicing and would-be actors and directors, whether amateur or professional, its intention is not to study a script from a purely academic viewpoint, but rather to enable a practical approach to taking a drama text from page to stage.
