Synopsis
A stirring account of the two-division Indian Corps which arrived in Europe just in time for First Ypres. These dedicated regular soldiers found themselves in a land they had never seen, fighting an enemy of which they knew little and in a cause not their own. Led by British officers, the regiments fought throughout the first fifteen months of the war on the Western Front, before being transferred to Mesopotamia.

About the Author
Major Gordon Corrigan retired from the Brigade of Gurkhas in 1998 to become a military historian. He is the author of Mud, Blood and Poppycock and Loos 1915. He is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.
