The Principles and Art of Cure by Homoeopathy by H. A. Roberts, first published in 1936, attempts to show the "logical reasonableness of homoeopathy", as Carroll Dunham termed it. Through an exposition on the principles of homoeopathy and their relation to the natural world Roberts seeks to demonstrate the practical application of this healing art. A member of the International Hahnemannian Association, Roberts was influenced by Boenninghausen and Close. Some of the included chapters cover the nature, expression, and application of the Vital Force, case taking, case analysis, the law of cure, remedy reaction, the second prescription, suppression, susceptibility, and palliation. Roberts is at his most inspiring in the opening section where he discusses why someone might want to be a homeopath.
