This new paperback edition of the only volume written solely about the siege and subsequent sacking of Badajoz tells the story with the aid of scores of eyewitness accounts. Illustrated throughout with contemporary prints, the book also includes aerial photos taken from a balloon in 1914 that show how Badajoz would have looked in 1812.
