The architecture of Jones Coulter Young is symbolic of the extreme colors and context of Western Australia. The monumental physical features of the Western Australian landscape are recreated with JCY's sculpting of form, space, light and surface, and this exploration of the landscape is always linked to community identity. This monograph comprehensively documents all JCY's significant built and unbuilt work. The projects are linked by a series of four essays by Anoma Pieris, which analyze JCY's architecture in a broad cultural and geographic context.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. 128 pp. Tightly bound. Text is free of markings. No ownership markings. Good dust jacket. NOTE: The reason for the lower "good" rating is because the lower corners are bumped. This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of bookbinding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually with multiple stitches and then joined with other signatures to create the complete book block.
