The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is God the Son—Second Person of the Holy Trinity. He has eternally existed with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

He came to earth two thousand years ago as the God-man. Although Jesus was only one Person, He had two natures—one human and one divine. In other words, He was fully human and fully God.

On earth He lived a perfect, sinless life. Therefore, He was qualified to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world. Of course, His death on Calvary’s cross was not the end. Indeed, three days after His death, He rose from the dead. Jesus claimed to be the one way to reach the one God and His resurrection from the dead demonstrates that His claim is true!

Consequently, it is absolutely crucial that we have a thorough understanding of the identity of Jesus.
