Synopsis
A game of ball ends in a conflict between Jason and Mark. The reader can choose between five different story lines to deal with the conflict: taking the ball away, walking away, telling an adult, peer mediation, and suggesting a solution that is fair to both. Discussion topics include name calling, teasing, fighting, choice/consequences, communication, mediation, "I" messages, creative alternative solutions and the power of choice. (Grades 3-4)
