Robert J. Koester provides the SAR community with search & rescue management insight gleaned from over 100 operational periods as an Incident commander. He currently is president of the Virginia Search and Rescue Council, a technical instructor with the Virginia Department of Emergency Services, and on the board of directors of the Appalachian Search & Rescue Conference. Robert is also well known for his original research of Alzheimer's disease and despondent subjects. He has developed SAR training programs and numerous other publications.
