This book is the first comprehensive guide to urban search. It compares factors of an urban/suburban incident with wilderness search, including preplanning, search management, special investigation considerations, use of resources, and documentation. The reader will learn how to understand the urban environment and develop preplans; conduct thorough investigations and interviewing; develop an accurate profile of the missing person using urban specific data; and train dogs and ground teams to be effective in the urban environment.

I pre-purchased your book entitled Urban Search and I must let you know that this publication is outstanding. As I read the various chapters, much I knew, a lot I didn't. The authors have done a great job of organizing the information. Every law enforcement officer across the country should have this book in their personal library and another in their work toolbox. This really is an outstanding piece of work, congratulations. --Rick Toman
