About the Author:

Imani is a longtime AIDS activist who has been libing with HIV for more than a decade.

Cgyrell is currently a doctoral student at the University of Michigan. She has been active in the AIDS field since 1987.

Evelyn C. White, journalist, author, and editor of "The Black Women's Health Book", is a visiting scholar in women's studies at Mills College. She lives in Oakland, California, and in Canada.
