Alexandra and Roger Pierce have taught movement for several decades. Alexandra Pierce, Ph.D., is Professor of Music and Movement and Research professor at the University of Redlands, and author of Deepening Musical Performance through Movement: The Theory and Practice of Embodied Interpretation. Roger Pierce, Ph.D., has been a theater director and Rolfer. Together they have taught a professional program for bodyworkers and movement teachers. They are the authors of Expressive Movement, a companion volume to Generous Movement. Alexandra and Roger are the founding members of Moving Voices, an ensemble performing poetry with movement, gesture, and music.
