Alexandra Pierce, Ph.D., is Professor of Music and Movement and Research professor at the University of Redlands, and author of Deepening Musical Performance through Movement: The Theory and Practice of Embodied Interpretation. Roger Pierce, Ph.D., has been a theater director and Rolfer. Together they have taught a professional program for bodyworkers and movement teachers. They are the authors of Expressive Movement, a companion volume to Generous Movement. Alexandra and Roger are the founding members of Moving Voices, an ensemble performing poetry with movement, gesture, and music.
