About the Author
Founder of Tar River Poetry and editor for 30 years, Peter Makuck taught at East Carolina University from 1976 to 2006. His stories, poems, reviews and essays appear in Poetry, The Nation, Hudson Review, The Sewanee Review, and The Georgia Review. He is author of four volumes of poetry, two short story collections, and co-edited a book of essays.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. First hardcover edition (so stated), first printing with number line beginning with 1. Full blue cloth with black titles. Prior ownership signature of another poet on the front pastedown under the DJ's fold. INSCRIBED to that other poet on the title page. Opposite the title page, Makuck has written out the poem "Catsail" (which appears in its entirety on the DJ's rear fold). Quite scarce signed in the hardcover version, especially with a holograph poem! Both book and jacket are Fine/Fine. Inscribed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 5320248
